So sad that Ladokites have spent more than a semester at home. So sad
that non of the workers are yet to get paid. It took the students almost
two-months to realize that the school is on strike, due to the
unethical trick of the school management. The ruse has not only affected
the school academic stability, but denies it from a quick solution.
Perhaps, the unethical trick might be of a good intention, but the
consequences is in-debatable.
The ongoing crises within the school community is one that needs a serious attention. And the only person that can solve the problem is no one else but the Leader of the All Progressive Congress, in person of Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu. Why ? Because he is highly respected and one who can talk to the two governors regardless of the acrimonious dispute between the two ownership states.
The issue at hands is far beyond what a royal highness can solve in a confine of his gated communities. And not what the state legislative and judiciary arms can solve in a jiffy. It's something that needs a serious approach from the Leader of the ruling party of both states. Because, if the Osun state keep insisting that the Oyo state can not unilaterally lay claim to sole ownership of the institution, with a valid legal back up ruling delivered on 26th day of March, 2012; that the apex court held that the University was and will always be jointly owned by Oyo and Osun states, it tells that the school will continue to be jointly owned by the two states.
Meanwhile, a call was recently made by some group of people, under the auspices of Ogbomoso paprapo, that the Osun staffs should leave the school. But the question whether they have the absolute right for such an action and call is far from expectation. It is pertinent to note that; haven't met with failure when the then executive governor of Oyo state attempted to take over the institution, the Ogbomoso paprapo has no right over LAUTECH. As such, the needs to thread caution is very important to save the institution from further mess.
I reiterate, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu remain the only man that can solve the school problem. His voice alone is capable to call the two governors into order. On this note, I sincerely urge the royal highness especially our Father, SOUN of Ogbomoso land to talk to TINUBU in resolving the crises. I'm sure with his support, the school may resume anytime soon.
